History

• May
  1937

  Takeharu Takei founded Takei Manufacturing in Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo and started gas-related parts (taps, valves, etc.) processing as a subcontractor.

• July
  1940

  Commenced production of precision parts as a works cooperative to the Japan Steel Works, Ltd (JSW).

• October
  1942

  Commenced production of jigs and inspection equipments as a works cooperative to JSW.

• March
  1946

  Started production of warp knitting machine and uprooting machine parts for JSW.

• July
  1947

  Started manufacture of parts for turbines, cranes and industrial machineries as a works cooperative to Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries Co., Ltd (IHI).

• October
  1955

  Commenced production of high-pressure gas safety valve for IHI based on design plans and materials provided by them.

• April
  1959

  Begun supply of high-pressure gas safety valves to JSW.

• August
  1961

  Begun supply of high-pressure gas safety valves to NIPPON SANSO CORPORATION.

• October
  1961

  Outgrowing from subcontractor business, renovateol manufacturing system of high-pressure gas safety valves integrating all processes from design and manufacture to inspection. We took the first step as a manufacturer specialized in safety valves.

• March
  1968

  Accredited as an authorized safety valve manufacturer (Test: MA, Manufacture: MB, Accreditation No.: 159-19) by Minister of International Trade and Industry (MITI) - under (The 1st) Append. 42 Chem. No.637.

• July
  1969

  It was made the corporation organization.

• August
  1978

  Commenced exports of high-pressure gas safety valves to overseas markets.

• March
  1980

  Yukio Takei assumed as the president.

• September
  1987

  Scope of accreditation by MITI expanded to 650K (63.8MPa).

• February
  1990

  Started operations at Yokohama Plant.

• January
  2003

  Moved Head Office to TK-Gotanda Bldg.410,5-10-18 Higashi-Gotanda, Shinagawa-ku,Tokyo 141-0022,Japan.

• March
  2004

  Pressure of test and inspection equipments expanded as up to 130 MPa (max.).

  2011

  Accredited for the Certification (Korea Gas Safety Corporation).

  2013

  Accredited for the Certification (ISO9001:LRQA(Yokohama Plant)).
